How Telerad Evolved into a Rad Advance in Medical Testing

To help keep providing important screening and diagnostic services while reducing the risk of COVID-19, many radiology practices, including Radiology Associates, have expanded their current level of teleradiology service, reading applicable images remotely.

Our Deltona Center Expands and Advances Services With New Location

Never a practice to rest on its laurels, Radiology Associates Imaging is upgrading its offerings by moving its Deltona office from the previous location at 2090 Saxon Blvd., Suite A, to a new ultramodern facility at 3400 Halifax Crossing Blvd, Suite 170.

Opening February 1, the custom-built Deltona center is more expansive than the old location to provide a wider range of diagnostic services and deliver some of the region’s most advanced imaging technologies. In addition to the former office’s services, which included x-ray, computed tomography (CT), screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry, the spacious new facility will also feature revolutionary advances like 64-slice CT, cardiac CT, 3D mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, digital x-ray and, coming April 1st, 3T MRI, highly detailed and sophisticated magnetic resonance imaging.

“We want patients and physicians to have access to comprehensive, accurate and safe radiology services, because when it comes to people’s health, only the best will do.”
— Dr. Eric Tocci

“We wanted to provide our Deltona-area patients and referring clinicians with a wider range of advanced screening and diagnostic procedures,” says RAI radiologist and cardiovascular imaging subspecialist Dr. Eric Tocci. “The new facility provides greater comfort and the space to house leading-edge imaging equipment many other imaging centers don’t have. We want patients and physicians to have access to comprehensive, accurate and safe radiology services, because when it comes to people’s health, only the best will do.”

Since 1958, RAI has continued to grow and expand its services, from a single hospital department to what are now 6 state-of-the-art imaging centers serving three counties in eastern Central Florida. The move of the Deltona office to the new location continues RAI’s commitment to the best technologies and its leadership role in the region.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

When discovered before it produces symptoms like coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath, lung cancer can be conquered. The key is early discovery. Low-Dose Computed Tomography, or LDCT, is a quick, painless annual screening exam that can catch lung cancer early, before it has a chance to grow and spread.
